ACHIEVE WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE!
In my own gym I put slogans up around the gym. In the most obvious area in big letters it said “HOW GOOD DO YOU WANT TO BE?”
As a coach, mentor, trainer, father, one of the first things I find out is the answer to this very simple question. This applies to every young aspiring athlete and to every adult that wants to reach their goal. To set your self on the right path you have to make a decision on how good you want to be and to be more exact, how much time, sweat, hard work and in some cases money, are you willing to invest.
Do you want to make a team? Do you want to be the best on your team? Do you want to be the best in the state, country etc. Do you want to be your best? The level you want to be at will dictate the program you need to be on, and in most cases the support and help you will eventually need. Now, this doesn’t just apply to the young athlete this goes for any goal of any age, male, female etc. “How good do you want to be?”, is the question and the answer.
Vital Armour reflects 30 years of answering this question and providing an answer day in and day out, for every client, for every program. To take 30 years of experience in training and apply it to “How good do you want to be?”, Vital Armour was formed with the goal of helping answer the question. Each program is set up to give the proper guidance and instruction to reach the goal of each individual not the generic goal of 100’s of on line programs or a trainer that has minimal experience in true athletic development.
Every client that I have helped through any program name I have worked under starts by answering the question”How good do you want to be?” What are your short term goals? What are your long term goals? Are they realistic? Do you know if they are realistic, and does that matter? In most cases having both realistic and unrealistic goals is a good thing, you just need to know how to handle both and have the proper path mapped out. It is fun to have the big grandiose goals, but are you really willing to put the time and effort into it?
If you want to be a college athlete are you willing to put the time, effort and sacrifice in to get there ? It doesn’t happen over night. If you have a lot weight to lose, are you ready to commit to what it takes to accomplish this? And will you commit to it long term to assure success?
Be real with what you want and be real with what you are willing to do. Everyone is different so every program has to be different to properly provide the guidance and support to reach those specific goals. Sometimes the road we pick is longer and harder and filled with obstacles we were not expecting. That initial question or answer “How good do you want to be?” is what guides us through those tough spots. With out the answer no one will make it through the journey, it solidifies your effort and commitment.
The answer to the question doesn’t always have to be “great”, “the best” or anything like that, only if you truly want that. The answer, the true answer you have inside you, will allow you to get on the right path and to get you where you want to be. Vital Armour was developed over 30 years to be an answer (not the only answer) to the question. It is up to the individual to take advantage of it.
Through the years in the various programs there has been 100’s of college athletes commit to a BigTime program. Only the ones with the answer going into it made it through the process and succeeded. No matter what level of college an athlete ends up getting to, the process is rigorous and full of challenges and unknowns. With 2 college athletes of my own, one on his way and a ton of other athletes that have gone through the process with my help, there is a clear understanding of the process and how it works that can be tapped into. For some this is the missing link! And again remember at Vital Armour everyone is an Athlete!
If you are a former athlete at any level, or an aspiring adult athlete, or just someone that wants to get in better shape, your commitment encapsulates your success. How good you want to be, guides you through all the mess. It is your answer. Go to vitalarmour.com and check out some great options for answering your “How good do you want to be?”
